Course Overview

This accredited course provides the 4 nationally recognised units of competency required for the AVIS00055 Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Skill Set. This Skill Set is for individuals who perform the duties of aerodrome works safety officers at aerodromes within Australian aviation environments. It provides the skills and knowledge required to drive within airside environments, maintain radio communications as part of airport operations, and facilitate aerodrome works safety and works site access.

Delivery: This course is only available as an in-house course to train multiple personnel at your own facility (by arrangement). It is currently not offered as a public course for individual enrolment.

Upon successful completion of this course, including all assessments, participants will receive the following nationally recognised units of competency and Skill Set: 

AVIC0001 Drive on the airside
AVIE0003 Operate aeronautical radio
AVIF0045 Facilitate the safety of aerodrome works and works site access
AVIZ0003 Maintain basic situational awareness in an aviation workplace
