Helping Little Wings Soar Safely

Southpac helps Little Wings soar safely and provides free flight & ground transport services for sick children in rural & regional NSW.

2020 has been a year of challenges – particularly so for regional aviation support network, Little Wings.

Little Wings is a nonprofit organisation that provides free, professional and safe flight and ground transport services for sick children in rural and regional NSW.

With a loss of major funding sources due to Covid, the organisation has been busy re-building their funding from the ground up – as well as continuing their much-needed services to children and families across the state.

When Little Wings reached out to Southpac Aerospace for support, we knew we wanted to help in any way that we could. As the Asia Pacific region’s leading provider of aviation safety training, we were able to enrol their new volunteer Safety Officer in our Safety & Lead Auditors Course as well as helping her on the way to achieving a Diploma in Quality Auditing.

In addition to providing valuable and necessary safety training, we also put a call out to our team to donate whatever amount they could spare, with Southpac to match it dollar for dollar. Together, we were able to donate $1,500 to Little Wings to support their efforts.

We know there are still many challenges ahead for the aviation industry and the nonprofit sector, however our focus continues to be on working together to support our partners through these difficult times as we look to a brighter future.
