Course Overview

This interactive online course provides an insight into firearms, explosive devices, incendiary devices and other prohibited or threat items, with a focus on learning how to recognise and identify items that may pose a threat to the workplace.

The course includes the following modules:

  • Introduction to Explosives
  • Explosive Devices
  • The Effects of Explosives
  • Firearms and Ammunition
  • Dangerous Goods

As base-level awareness training, it’s recommended for security staff working in Aviation or Critical National Infrastructure.

This course is suitable for:

  • Airport Security Staff
  • Contracted Security Personnel
  • Airline Operations Staff
  • Customs and Border Protection Staff
  • RACA Staff with access to secure air cargo
  • Inflight Supplies Staff with an aviation security role

This training is available for individual enrolment and for group training through the purchase of multiple licences.
