Personnel operating within the Security Restricted Area (SRA) of an airport or active aviation environment
Course Overview
Security Awareness Training is required for multiple categories of staff in the Australian aviation sector regulated by the ASTR 2005.
Southpac’s General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) course has been designed to equip personnel operating within these areas, most notably the Security Restricted Area (SRA) of an airport, with the essential subjects required under regulation along the knowledge and skills to maintain a secure environment.
This course provides a valuable contribution to building and maintaining a viable security culture in the airport, airline, RACA and inflight supplies sectors.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of potential threats to aviation, foundational security measures, and their role in supporting a secure and compliant security programme in any aviation setting.
This interactive e-learning course covers key areas such as access control, security protocols, and safe escorting of individuals within SRAs. Designed to meet international and national aviation security standards, GSAT ensures participants are prepared to handle responsibilities confidently and contribute to overall aviation security.
On completion, participants will be issued with a certificate of attendance which is valid for 24 months in line with the regulation.
