Course Overview

This interactive online course raises awareness of behavioural detection techniques, helping staff identify suspicious behaviours before an incident occurs.

Behaviour Detection Awareness is designed to shift how people observe their surroundings—encouraging staff to look, listen, and think differently, especially in busy or high-risk areas.

This course acts as an additional layer of defence by empowering personnel to spot early warning signs and respond appropriately.

The course includes the following modules:

  • The aim and principles of Behavioural Detection

  • Typical targets of terrorist or criminal acts
  • The four stages of an attack and how to recognise them
  • How behaviour detection works in practice
  • Benefits of behaviour-based security measures

As base-level awareness training, it’s recommended for security staff working in Aviation or Critical National Infrastructure.

This course is suitable for:

  • Airport Security Staff
  • Frontline Customer Service Staff
  • Airline Operations Teams
  • Ground Handling Agents
  • Staff working in Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
  • Any personnel operating in high-footfall or sensitive environments
