Course Overview

This internationally certified one-day lead auditor training course has been specifically designed for qualified aviation auditors directly involved in the unmanned aircraft sector. The course has been developed and is facilitated by remote piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) specialists and is aligned to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) RPAS Manual (2015). An important feature of this RPAS Auditor Training Course is the application of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements as they are the international basis upon which Civil Aviation Safety Authorities develop their State Safety Programs.

Southpac have become the recognised leaders in the provision of quality auditor training throughout the world through the delivery of practical and up to date training. This course is aligning to the ICAO guidelines and also addresses the regulatory requirements for RPAS/UAS certification requirements for domestic safety regulatory authorities. This course also provides an overview of the UAS International Standard™ and its application to the oversight of unmanned aircraft systems.

Course Facilitators

The course facilitators are Mr James Coyne and Mr Ron Bartsch both experienced in RPAS regulations. Mr Coyne is a world-recognised leader in the regulation and certification requirements for unmanned aircraft having Chaired the ICAO RPAS Study Group. Jim was also head of the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority UAS Division for six years until 2014. Ron Bartsch is a leading aviation lawyer with over 30 years aviation auditing experience and is a Director of the Australian Association of Unmanned Systems and Chairman of UAS International Pty Ltd.
